Following on from its successful introduction to the Czech retail market in 1999, the Olympia shopping centre's third phase consisted of a 35 000 m² development. After remodelling the northern part – the Fashion Mall - and moving the bus terminal, further design work started in 2005. The third phase brought 23 new shops and fulls a Kika department store.

Our intention was to continue with and develop the strong architectural style generated in the original design. We intended the Olympia centre to be perceived as one complete building with a unified architectural identity.

However, in phase 3, modern elements such as blue LED wave on fascia appeared. This lighting effect emphasizes the original colour scheme, while the waveform creates the dynamic space.

At the time of completion the floor plan of the original shopping centre with the new phase 3 developments formed the shape of the letter "L", an indication of the next phase, which enclosed the rectangular shape and connected the malls.
