We designed the interior of an 81 m² apartment in a new residential housing complex. The goal was to create an interesting living space based on an average layout, which appeals to the onlooker at first glance thanks to overall concept as well as details, material choice, lighting, and logical linking of particular areas.

The living space combines relaxation, entertainment and eating functions. Areas dedicated to particular functions are separated by different floor levels, though they are unified by the dominant indirect lighting hidden within a strip running vertically down the wall from the kitchen to relaxation area. The hallway visually connects all the rooms.

The aim was to create an instantly coherent space, and this was achieved by repeating basic materials in various combinations. For instance, the bed padding in bedroom is of the same textile as seats in the living room. Indirect lighting in the bedroom uses a similar principle as in the main room. We chose corian finish for the living room desk as well as for the kitchen surfaces, unifying them visually. Across the whole apartment the furniture has a Makassar veneer and for wooden floor is used American cherry.
